Matt McAllister is a local musician in the area, who also comes from a long line of woodworkers in the family. Son of local artist, Steve Kelzer, Matt grew up with the creative freedom from an early age starting with music and always loving the time watching Dad work his magic in the shop. So as the saying goes, like father like son. Matt started out making rustic wall art and barn quilts, and this year has studied various color mediums, combined with shou sugi ban techniques to get the desired outcome of whatever his eye can see. I’ve been blessed enough to make art a part of my business and would love the opportunity to be in a field of some of the fellow artists I’ve watched, grown or worked along side this art wander event.
