Abigail Blythe Davisson is a local Artist. She has had a focus on painting for over a decade, since she returned from teaching abroad. Her in-house studio is mostly eco friendly with a chemical free oil painting set up. She paints using mixed media; oil, watercolor, ink, gouache, and acrylic.
Abigail paints to let her mind and soul rest. It is where she goes to calm and let her focus soar. She paints because in this great big place there is so much that can’t be controlled. Abigail paints to find beauty in this world while looking for truth.
Abigail is experimenting, and changing as an artist and a person. She started with abstraction of animals and insects. Then she was playing with watercolor on canvas working with flowers and pollinators. Now, she is experimenting with the same mediums but different subject matter and letting the medium guide her artistic expression. Her work is growing and the goal is to give the viewer something beautiful and or intriguing to think about.
