Botanical printmaking is the foundation of my landscapes: apply ink to a fresh green leaf, lay the inky leaf on a prepared surface and hand-press it; remove the leaf to reveal the ink image left behind.
Depth and complexity are derived by assimilating fiber arts and painting techniques and paper and fabrics. Backgrounds are made using dyes, pastels, watercolors; grasses and leaves are printed to create all plant images.
