Barbara Cobb is a retired graphic designer and life long crafter who came to call herself an artist much later in life after returning to college to finally finish her degree. She works predominantly with handmade wool felt– making wall art, jewelry, ornaments, and other items. She also creates mixed media pieces using the felt, paper, and wood among other things. Her works have appeared at numerous showings throughout the Chanhassen and Chaska area, the Textile Center of Minnesota, and Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts Show,. Her “Birch Triptych” and “Sunday on the North Shore” are now part of the permanent collection at Metropolitan State University, where she completed her B.A. in Integrated Studies Focusing on the Arts (theater, graphic and fine).
