Creating bright, bold, textured, exciting, stormy land and skyscapes from my imagination rather than reference photos, I paint scenes that are deeply layered in paint with the intention of drawing the viewer in. My hope is they find a painting where they can imagine the smell of trees, grasses, flowers; feel the sun against their skin; the wind of a thunderstorm blowing their hair out of place; each scene a place they feel drawn back to again and again. Always, there is harmony and chaos in nature. Also in life. The paintings are intended to help the viewer appreciate this harmony and chaos in all the ways it plays out, appreciating the beauty of this push and pull.
