Martin has been blacksmithing for over 20 years and a member of The Guild of Metalsmiths for almost as long. In that time he has taken many classes and taught quite a few himself. While his apprenticeship was in historic general blacksmithing he enjoys trying his hand at any metal working technique including repoussé, chasing, and wire inlay. While Martin occasionally makes a solely ornamental piece he most enjoys making functional items that serve their purpose well and are pleasing to the hand and eye.
