I grew up in Waconia, Minnesota and have a long history with the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum (MLA), which was just named the best botanical garden in America by USA Today. I was invited to attend art conferences at the MLA while in high school and after graduating with a Master of Fine Arts in Visual Studies from the Minneapolis College of Art and Design, I developed a youth art program at the MLA Marion Andrus Learning Center, which I was involved with for over 10 years.

I currently work for the Andersen Horticultural Library at the MLA and am the coordinator for the Flora and Fauna Illustrata project, which recruits botanical artists to depict species on Arboretum grounds.

I hope to share my love of the Arboretum through the paintings and drawings I create.
