Scotty Olson is an entrepreneur and inventor best known for founding the company that is now Rollerblade, Inc. A former professional hockey goalie and life long sports enthusiast, Scotty has invented a number of other products, ranging from a rolling golf bag to a treadmill for inline skate training. He recently sold his Rowbike business. Rowbike is a combination rowing machine and bicycle that has sold several thousands of units. Other companies Scotty has founded include:PenguinCounty.com, KongPong.com, and O.S. Design Inc, a product development firm that continues to come up with marketable concepts such as the Lunar Bed, an outdoor glass ceiling trailer. His newest and quite possible his most exciting product, SkyRide Technology, a combination rollercoaster and fitness machine. Scotty runs and /or hikes daily, does five hundred pull-ups a week, swims daily, cross-country skis out his back door when the snow is in season and skates in multiple inline skate marathons.
He currently lives in his dream place, a 40 acre farm with a renovated 1930s barn. He has an inventing studio there and also raises endangered trumpeter swans.
