Barbara Cobb is a mixed media artist working with paper and acrylics on canvas as well as fibrous materials, such as handmade paper and fabric. Her works have appeared at numerous showings throughout the Chanhassen and Chaska area, and notably include “Carrefour, Haiti,” which received the People’s Choice Award at the 2013 Arts Consortium of Carver County and “Some Kind of Crazy,” which appeared at the Minnesota State Fair Fine Arts Show 2015 and at A Common Thread, the Textile Center of Minnesota member’s show. Her “Birch Triptych” and “Sunday on the North Shore” are now part of the permanent collection at Metropolitan State University, where she completed her B.A. in Integrated Studies Focusing on the Arts (theater, graphic and fine) in 2006. Barbara is employed full-time as a graphic designer at Banner Engineering in Plymouth, MN and is an active volunteer developing creative programs for girls for the River Valleys Girl Scout Council.
